Library events are always free to the public and you do not need a library card to attend!

The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48334.

Celebrate our Arab American communities with live performances, hands-on activities, and art! Sponsored by the Farmington Friends of the Library.

 

Performances

1:30 p.m. | Kick off the festivities with a performance by the Wale3Dabke Dance Troupe

2:30 p.m. | Oud performance by Majed Chamseddine

4:00 p.m. | Traditional Drumming with Ali Sobh

 

Activities | 2–4:30 p.m.

Make a craft with Arab American National Museum Staff

• Community Info. Station provided by the Arab American National Museum

• Trivia: “Who Am I?”—guess the famous Arab American

• Tasting Station

 

Featured Art Tables | 2–4 p.m.

• Arabic Calligraphy with Estabrak Salih

• Fine Art Display by local artist Jenin Yaseen

• Tatreez embroidery with Jenin Yaseen

• Henna
