The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in the Auditorium at our FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI, 48334. 

This program will be presented in-person and virtually. Registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting link.


Learn how to improve your soil, reduce waste and grow your best garden ever! Author and educator Bevin Cohen will show you how to get started composting in this fun and educational presentation. He will cover everything you need to know including: tools and equipment, choosing the right bin for your space, what's compostable and what isn't and how to maintain a compost pile for years to come. Copies of Bevin's books will be available after the presentation, including his latest, Grow Great Vegetables in Michigan (all sales will be handled by Bevin Cohen).  

Bevin Cohen is an award winning author, herbalist, and owner of Small House Farm in Michigan. Bevin offers workshops and lectures across the country on the benefits of living closer to the land through seeds, herbs, and locally grown food.
