Library events are always free to the public and you do not need a library card to attend! 

The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in the Auditorium at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48334.

No registration required.

This class will cover the basics of at-home composting, introduce you to the Bokashi method of composting kitchen scraps, and help you create a valuable, living soil amendment for your garden. You'll leave this class with the information and resources you need to start composting in a way that works best for you.

Sara Covatta is a Master Gardener and Compost Educator who is passionate about demystifying and normalizing composting. She serves on the leadership committee for the Michigan Organics Council and is a member of the US Composting Council.
