Listen to an enlightening conversation around race and racism with local students. Students involved in Farmington IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Acceptance) Clubs offered throughout Farmington Public Schools will be our panelists for the discussion. Moderated by Greg Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, this panel will center youth voices on the legacy of Dr. King and what they want their future to reflect.
During the panel, we will announce the winners and award prizes for the the 2024 MLK Day Student Art Competition. The artwork will be on display and students will be available after the panel to answer questions about their work.
This panel will be live streamed on the Library’s YouTube channel.
Sponsored by The Multicultural/Multiracial (MCMR) Community Council of Farmington and Farmington Hills & the Friends of the Farmington Community Library.
