Calling all gardeners! According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, about 30% of the water used in the average American household goes to outdoor tasks such as washing your car or watering lawns and gardens. Water stored in a rain barrel can be used for these everyday outdoor activities. We are pleased to host Josh Rubin, CEO of MI Rain Barrel to discuss the benefits of rain barrels and he will demonstrate how to put one together. Reduce storm-water runoff, save money on your water bill, and help your plants by providing them with “softer” un-treated water. Participants will be offered the opportunity to purchase a rain barrel kit after the program.
