If you listen closely, in the vast stretch of blue space, you may hear a faint heartbeat, a mother’s song. And then you will meet Yemaya and a little girl to whom she introduces magical and sacred places beneath the sea. Listen and marvel as Sheryl Pryor (Detroit Association of Black Storytellers) tells us the little mermaid story as you’ve never heard it before.
