Local author and historian Barry Levine will discuss the more than 80-year history of the Willow Run complex, including Ford's B-24 bomber plant, the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation, General Motors auto and transmission manufacturing, and passenger and air cargo aviation. While its operations have changed over the years, Willow Run and its dedicated workers have persevered through every challenge.

Barry Levine works at The Henry Ford Museum and is a volunteer at the Yankee Air Museum. He is the author of the books Yankee Air Museum (2018) and Michigan Aviation: People and Places That Changed History (2021), and his articles have appeared in various aviation and history magazines

This event is sponsored by the Farmington Friends of the Library.
