The book for September is Legends of the Fall by Jim Harrison.  This is a collection of three novellas by a Michigan poet/author.  Jim Harrison lived most of his life on a farm in Leelanau County, was born in Grayling in 1937 and died in Patagonia, AZ in 2016.  Many of his stories take place in Michigan's Upper Peninsula where he owned a cabin near Grand Marais.  Some of his stories such as Legends of the Fall, Wolf, and Revenge have been made into Hollywood movies. He also gave public talks and readings of his work.
