Library events are always free to the public and you do not need a library card to attend!

The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in Conference Room A at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48334.

No registration required. Limited space and supplies. 

Ready to dig deep? Join us for our weekly drop-in series to build your entry for the Fiero Code "Jurassic Code" contest!

Planet Fiero has a mysterious prehistoric world hidden underground. Your mission is to use Code Blocks to create a "digger-style" game.

How it Works

  • The Goal: Build and polish your game for Fiero Code's contest running June 1-July 31.
  • The Tech: Laptops will be available but limited; bring your own device if possible.
  • The Support: This is a self-guided work session. While formal instruction isn't provided, you can troubleshoot your code with fellow attendees or library staff.
  • The Perks: Fuel your coding with provided snacks (while supplies last)!

Getting Started

To participate, you’ll need a Fiero Code account. If you don't have one yet, our staff can help you set it up. Please bring:

  1. A valid email address
  2. Your Farmington Community Library card number and PIN.
