This program will be located in the Auditorium of FCL-Farmington Hills located at 32737 W 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48334.

Registration suggested, but not required.

A lively presentation and discussion of our state's topography, including its rocks, minerals, groundwater, and how the Great Lakes were formed.  Marie Solum is Outreach Coordinator for K-12 education at the Michigan Geological Survey.  She and her geologist husband have traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Mediterranean and North America studying volcanoes, sub-surface structural geology, hydrology, and lake & stream ecology. Her background includes teaching high school physics and earth science in Houston, TX.  Marie is very enthusiastic about our state’s natural environment. She and her family live in Caledonia, MI.
