The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in Conference Room A at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI, 48334.

Start the new year by cultivating calm and clarity through mindfulness meditation! This 6-week series, grounded in evidence-based practices, is designed for beginners and those looking to deepen their mindfulness skills. Each session will introduce practical techniques like breath focus, mindful movement, and loving-kindness meditation to help participants develop a personal practice and reduce stress.

Open to all levels, this series fosters a sense of community as participants learn to slow down, connect with themselves, and support each other on the path to mindfulness.

Week 1 (Jan. 4): Introduction to Mindfulness & Breath Focus

Laying the groundwork for a daily mindful practice by learning to focus on the breath as a simple but powerful tool for staying present.

Dates: Saturdays - January 4, 11, 25, February 1, 8, 15
Audience: All levels welcome (beginner-focused)
Provided: Meditation cushions and benches (while supplies last)
