The Hands-On program at FCL is a technology-oriented lesson that occurs monthly in the Computer Lab at our Farmington Hills location. Hands-On is a beginner-friendly course with participation encouraged, but not required. We will be using the computers in the Lab, so no device necessary. Bring your questions!
We can't verify it, but some of the greatest works of the 21st Century may have began as a document in Microsoft Word. From manuscripts to museum mailers, Microsoft Word is a one-stop shop for anything textual. If you are looking to write on the computer, Word is a great program to choose. But with so many tools at our disposal, where do we even begin? Stop in for this Hands-On lesson on how to format and layout our text in Microsoft Word. From columns to automatic styles, we hope you leave this lesson with the know-how to begin your story!
This is a beginner-friendly course with minimal Word experience required, however patrons should be comfortable using a mouse and keyboard, as well as possessing a basic understanding of Windows 10.
