Program Description

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

Library events are always free to the public and you do not need a library card to attend!

The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in the Auditorium at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI, 48334.

This program is similar to a book club, except you do not have to watch the movie before you come. We will watch the pre-selected movie and afterwards the floor will be opened for discussion. You don’t have to be a professional movie critic to attend Movie Talks! This will be a thoughtful environment open to all adults who have a love for watching films! You are also welcomed to bring your own snacks!

This month's film will be Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018)

Synopsis: Based on the memoir by the same name, Melissa McCarthy plays struggling celebrity biographer Lee Israel. Desperate for money, Israel hatches a scheme to forge letters by famous writers and sell them to bookstores and collectors. Nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

(Genre: Comedy/Drama; Run time: 1 hr. & 46 mins; Rated R: for language and brief drug use)
