Program Description

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

Library events are always free to the public and you do not need a library card to attend!

The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in the Computer Lab at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI, 48334.

The Hands-On program at FCL is a technology-oriented lesson that occurs monthly in the Computer Lab at our Farmington Hills location. Hands-On is a beginner-friendly course with participation encouraged, but not required. We will be using the computers in the Lab, so no device necessary. Bring your questions!

Using a Search Engine like Google can be a very rewarding experience if you know where to begin! From checking sports scores to applying to jobs, the search engine is often our first destination when going online, but how exactly do we use one? In this program you will learn how search keywords work, how to determine legitimate results from ads, and how artificial intelligence plays a role in modern search engines, among any questions you may have!
