Program Description

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

Library events are always free to the public and you do not need a library card to attend!

The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in the Computer Lab at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI, 48334.

The Hands-On program at FCL is a technology-oriented lesson that occurs monthly in the Computer Lab at our Farmington Hills location. Hands-On is a beginner-friendly course with participation encouraged, but not required. We will be using the computers in the Lab, so no device necessary. Bring your questions!

This program is intended to introduce the beginner/novice computer user to the basics of how to use their machine. We will cover ways to think about your computer, how to use the mouse and keyboard to interact with your computer screen, and how to familiarize ourselves with Windows 11, the "Operating System" of our computer. This program assumes minimal prior knowledge or ownership of computers or Windows 11. Please feel free to come with questions!
